CMU provides essential voting and civic engagement resources, helping individuals navigate the process and make informed decisions for a stronger community.
The 2024 election, which will be held on November 5, is a general election. Not only is this year the year we will be electing the next President, but we will also be voting on all of these offices:
33 U.S. Senators, including a new Michigan U.S. senator
All 435 seats in the U.S. House of Representatives
House Representatives in many states, including all 100 Michigan House Seats
Many local offices and judges
Ballot initiatives in many states

Absentee voter ballot request available for voters NOW
The last day to register by mail or online is October 21
New voter registrations are required in person for November Election, October 22 - November 5
Early Voting period October 26 - November 3
A general election will be held on November 5
Ombudsperson for Voters with Disabilities
The Bureau of Elections Ombudsperson for Accessible Elections responds to and assists individuals with disabilities attempting to vote. To speak with the Ombudsperson for Accessible Elections, call 517-335-2730.”
